Mother’s Day Journal

A couple of years ago I saw a post on Facebook that read, ‘No more Mother’s Day cards!’. There was a picture of a journal and a short description that talked about filling in a journal in lieu of Mother’s Day cards. Being the sentimental sap that I am, I loved the idea and showed the post to my husband. That year I was so excited to receive a Mother’s Day journal of my own! What exactly is a Mother’s Day journal you ask? Take a look and be sure to check out my affiliate link below to find some beautiful journals for mom!

This is my journal. My husband picked it out and I love it! It’s pink, girly, and suits me perfectly.
You can find great journals at Amazon.

Each year my husband helps our girls fill out their own page. Then he writes a sweet letter to me; which is not pictured because, well, some things are best left private. 😉

The last couple years are filled with hand and foot prints. He also asked the girls questions and wrote down their adorable responses.

I absolutely love my Mother’s Day Journal! It’s so fun to look back at the past years entries and see the progression of the girls and our family. I can’t wait until the girls start writing their own messages to me. It is going to be so cute to read the misspelled words and sweet/funny notes. I’m thankful that my husband liked the idea because this truly is better than any card I could ever receive! I picture myself being old and grey, pulling out my journal and flipping through the pages with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes as I relive a lifetime of memories.

This journal is great to do for Father’s Day as well. I got one for my husband the year he got mine and he loves it just as much as i do!

It’s so easy to do and such a wonderful keepsake for all Moms (and dads)!

This a fantastic idea! My children are grown and are now starting their own families. I will recommend this to them and others. Thanks so much for sharing!
