Heartfelt Review Rating:
This week I am reviewing Burt’s Bees products. I’ve known about Burt’s Bees since I was a teen and may have even used their lip balm once or twice back then; but I didn’t start using any of their other products until my oldest daughter had her very first bath. Through much research (surprise, surprise) and testing of different baby products, Burt’s Bees Baby line was my husband and I’s top choice to use on our newborn. After that first bath, we were hooked! I loved the gentleness of the soap and it left my precious baby’s skin silky smooth. Burt’s Bees has been around since the 80’s and has grown and developed into an amazing brand that sells everything from facial cleansers to throat drops. All of their products are made from natural ingredients and to top it off, they’re a green company! After using their products on my daughter for a few months, I decided to try some out myself. I have yet to find a product from Burt’s Bees that I don’t like! If you haven’t given Burt’s Bees a try, you are missing out on a great product line!
Here a list of products that I have used and my personal review for each.
Baby Bee Shampoo and Wash – Fragrance Free: This is the product that made us fall in love with Burt’s Bees! It is very gentle and leaves your little ones skin feeling silky smooth. What more could you ask for from a baby wash?
Baby Bee Shampoo and Wash: Now that my girls are older we switched from the fragrance free to the scented. I really love the light sweet smell of the honeycomb. This wash also leaves my girls skin silky smooth. It works great on their hair too. It is not drying and my girls have super shiny hair after every use. Hmmmm…maybe I should try using this as a shampoo!
Baby Bee Nourishing Lotion: I love using this lotion on my girls after bath time! It’s nice and thick but doesn’t leave a greasy residue. It has an amazing light scent and leaves my daughters skin super soft. I actually use this for myself from time to time.
Baby Bee Dusting Powder: I use this instead of an ointment or cream on diaper rash. Not only is it soothing on your baby’s bum, it also clears up diaper rash very quickly! Oh and on days when I don’t have time to wash and dry my hair, I use this as a dry shampoo and it soaks the oil right up leaving my hair looking clean. Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone!
Extra Energizing Citrus and Ginger Body Wash: I LOVE this body wash!! It is so invigorating and smells amazing! It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. I don’t know if it’s just in my head, but I always feel energized after I use this product!
Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair Treatment: This product leaves my hair shiny and silky without being weighed down! I truly feel as if it repairs damage from dying, hair straightener’s and blow dryers. Love, love, LOVE this!
Honey Lip Balm: I am obsessed with this lip balm! I have one in the diaper bag, my purse, car and makeup bag. It is rich and smooth with a hint of sweetness. It leaves my lips feeling soft and moisturized. The hubs likes to use it too!
Hydrating Lip Balm with Coconut and Pear: My 3 year old has a lip balm obsession as well. It started when she was gifted a pack of cheap Disney princess chap sticks at age 2. After looking at the ingredients I knew I had to get her something better. She obviously liked the princesses on the label but she also liked the different scents. I knew it would be hard to convince her to use something other than her beloved princess chap stick so I decided to give this one a try. I told her that it was big girl chap stick, just like mommy’s. Surprisingly she was sold. As soon as we got in the car she asked to put it on and this has been the chap stick I have been buying her ever since! She loves “how it makes her lips feel slippery” and says “it smells so yummy, are you sure I can’t eat it?”. I too have tried this lip balm and it is very hydrating leaving your lips super silky. It also has an amazing smell that reminds you of a tropical get away.
Lip Shimmer: I have played around with several different shades of the lip shimmers and have found 3 that I love! I’m not a big fan of how lipstick looks on me but sometimes feel like giving my lip a slight tint. These are perfect for that! They are natural looking and leave your lips feeling as if you put on a lip balm instead of a lipstick.
Richly Replenishing Cocoa and Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion: This is my all time favorite lotion! It is rich without leaving behind any greasy residue and absorbs quickly so I don’t look like I poured a bottle of zinc over my body. It makes my skin feel very soft and smooth and has a great scent!
I love Burt’s Bees products! There are so many more that I can’t wait to try. Next on the list is their facial cleansers. I may need to update this review in a few months! 😉
